Native Wetlands

Nestled in the forest of a 35-acre Hampton estate awaits this half-a-century-old aquatic shelter. Home to a multitude of various species of Flora and Fauna, this once man-made lake has established itself as the lynchpin of the estate’s biodiversity. With diverse native wetland plantings intentionally designed and installed by Aquatic Habitats, this aquatic sanctuary is a self-sustaining wealth of ecology. With much-needed aeration provided by a 150-foot winding stream bed and a waterfall designed and installed by Aquatic Habitats, this lake's water chemistry, and health have been rejuvenated and enhanced to give the surrounding landscape continued balance for another half a century. Providing food, comfort, and shelter to all creatures inhabiting the land, including humans, this lake has proven how an aquatic habitat can change a landscape and property.
